Enrofloxacin (brand name Baytril®) is a prescription broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used in veterinary medicine to treat a variety of bacterial infections in animals, including dogs, cats, cattle, swine, and exotic species. It is used when infections are severe or do not respond to other antibiotics, in order to combat antibiotic resistance.
