Description

Sex hormones. After the progesterone sustained-release agent is placed into the vagina, the slowly released progesterone is absorbed into the body through the vaginal mucosa to keep the plasma progesterone concentration at the normal effective concentration. It plays the same role as endogenous progesterone and inhibits the secretion of pituitary gonadotrophin and hypothalamic gonadotrophin releasing hormone through the feedback mechanism, thus inhibiting estrus and ovulation, and artificially extending the luteal phase. Once the progesterone sustained-release agent is removed, the effect of progesterone disappears, and the animal’s pituitary begins to secrete gonadotrophin, which promotes the growth of follicles and animal estrus. This product can be used in combination with estrogen, gonadotrophin releasing hormone and prostaglandin.

Indications

Controlling the estrus cycle of young and multiparous cows, suitable for synchronous estrus and embryo transfer in cattle, as well as treating postpartum and lactation non estrus.
