Description
Composition: Each ml contains:
- Trimethoprim BP (vet) 80 mg
- Sulphadiazine BP (vet) 400 mg
Description: Tryton Injection contains trimethoprim and Sulphadiazine. These two active ingredients produce a double sequential blockade of bacterial metabolism resulting in high level of activity. Therapeutic plasma levels are rapidly reached. In vitro antibacterial activity of Tryton is extensive and covers most common Gram +ve and Gram -ve bacteria. Indications: Tryton Injection is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract infections including pneumonia, rhinitis, bronchitis, kennel cough, secondary bacterial infections following viral pneumonia or mycoplasma infections; Alimentary tract infections including neonatal diarrhea, salmonellosis and Colibacillosis; urogenital tract infections including Metritis. vaginitis, urethritis, nephritis and cystitis; skin infections including dermatitis, cellulitis, and interdigital and anal abscesses; general infections including septicemias, mastitis and post – parturient infections; infections of the eye, ear and mouth, and for wounds; also recommended for post – operative prophylaxis. Dosage and Administration: For cows, buffaloes, sheep, goats and horses: 1 ml per 32 kg bodyweight daily by intramuscular or slow intravenous injection. In case of severe infections, this dose may be increased to 1.5 ml per 32 kg. Precaution
- Tryton injection should not be administrated by the intravenous route in cats and dogs
